Managing Director — Africa Digital Solutions
Dr. Djalil ASSOUMA, Eng., MBA is an ICT and telecoms expert with more than 25 years of experience in digital transformation in the public and private sectors. He is currently the Managing Director of Africa Digital Solutions, an international company specializing in digital solutions and information and communications technologies. Africa Digital Solutions provides solutions to the socio-economic development challenges of African states based on evolutions in digital technologies.
Mr. Assouma was previously Chairman and CEO of Benin Telecoms SA and its subsidiaries, the national telecommunications operator in Benin; in this position and as a member of the Presidential Digital Council, he played a key role in the digital transformation of his country and deployed national broadband networks, including 4G/LTE. He also worked in Canada for major telecommunications companies such as MTS/Allstream and Telus Communications. Mr. Assouma holds an executive Doctorate in Digital Inclusion at Dauphine University / Paris Sciences et Lettres, an MBA in finance and strategy from Concordia University, a Master of Science in mobile computing and a Bachelor of Engineering in telecommunications from the École polytechnique de génie de Montréal (CANADA).
He is a member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ), a team leader with excellent interpersonal skills and the motivation necessary to succeed in any environment.
